Skidway Lake Motel

Husband and I went away for a weekend getaway and this was a great place for us to go. The owner moved us to a different room as I had originally booked the small cabin, and it was smaller then I thought. He wanted to make sure we enjoyed our stay and had enough room. This worked great as we soon realized we couldn't wait to bring our family back. It's close to many lakes, stores and restaurants. The owner even gave us a dinner recommendation that we really enjoyed.

At first I booked a room, but was shortly called by William who was extremely polite and friendly. He informed me the room i booked was having issues and upgraded me for free to the stand alone cabin across the street. The cabin is rustic but served its purpose, heat, water shower, kitchen and sleep! Sure it could use some updates but all in all between the cleanliness of cabin and friendliness of staff it made for a great stay! The motel is centrally located in Prescott and Conveniently located to stores, bars and restaurants. I would stay here again.

Stayed one night here. Convenient to where we had to be the following day. Owner left key available to us as our arrival time was not when he would be there. Room was nice. Had a stove, fridge, and cupboards had everything to fix our meals. It is a bit dated as far as decor goes, but it has that Up North charm about it that harkens back to a simpler time. It doesn't pretend to be a Marriott.

Called last minute and got in! The owner was super nice, the rate was reasonable, and the owner even upgraded our room to one with a tub since I had my little guy with me; super thoughtful.She even booted up the heater for us since it was a little chilly. Cozy little room with everything you’d need. Only complaint was the guy next door who had people coming in and out every thirty minutes beginning at 1 AM. Otherwise, great stay and right by a lake at that

This was a business trip whereby I had five clients who also needed accommodations. Having called ahead only to find no hotel motel capable of accommodating all of us the owner William was confident that he could, in the worst case senecio still handle the crowd. lol We arrived much later than expected and he did in fact have the rooms available. Some first-rate customer service for sure. And a great value. This motel I like to classify as what I call a Route 66 Motel, layout common to those 1940’s, 1950’s motels along the highway. The rooms are dated but remarkably clean. And I mean remarkable! Although dated it was not worn out by any means. Everything was clean and functioned as it should. Almost like stepping back to the day it was built. Curb appeal was spectacular, not a sign of the interior 50’s decor from the outside. Very clean and modern grounds. Ample parking conveniently within feet of the room. It’s in a small lakeside residential tract, very quiet, comfortable and safe as far as I could tell. And once again the customer service was great, friendly, accommodating and a great value. I would recommend this to anyone from a single business traveler to a family of six or seven or a couple looking for a romantic get away. Restaurants, stores and local businesses are within walking distance as is the lake (about 25 yards or so). William I appreciate your service and look forward to returning with the wife and taking in a bit more of the town/lake as a vacation and not a business venture. I should mention they have separate two person rooms and a whole house/cabin adjacent to the motel proper both too well maintained and also a great value.

Rooms are small with older decor but they are clean and adequate. Conveniently located close to scout camp. We will be returning

I love how the rooms here are so well tailored to providing all the essentials in the way of adorable compact amenities. You're provided a stove with oven, coffee pot, decent sized "kitchen" sink and there's even some basic dishes stocked in the cabinets. And let's not forget the fairly large flat screen television wall mounted in perfect viewing range of the whole room darn near.

The cabin is a little dated,could use some upgrades. I feel the owners are doing there best. And working on some upgrades. Super friendly and concerned. The neighborhood looks scary but not the fault of the motel owners. My personal thoughts are update and it would be great.
